An action-platformer arcade shooter game

Damikira, formerly called Doomies, is a single-player action game that blends strategy with rich narrative depth. Set in a world torn apart by ancient rivalries and supernatural forces, the game challenges players to navigate both battlefield tactics and political intrigue. Developed by Brain-dead Rabbit Games, it’s available on PC and gaming consoles.

Damikira is similar to games like Rogue Legacy 2, Iron Meat, Contra: Operation Galuga, and Shadow of the Ninja - Reborn—which gives players an action-platforming gameplay experience. This game offers an arcade shooter filled with guns, violence, and dark humor. Here, players can unlock upgrades, kill enemies, and level up.

Features a variety of guns and metal music

In Damikira, players must take on the role of a commander whose decisions will determine the fate of the world. The lore is immersive in this game, with each faction and character being well-fleshed out. Characters are complex, with their backstories and motivations, which unfold as the game progresses. The dialogue options in interactions allow you to delve deeper into relationships and political dynamics, making the game feel more personal.

The game features a wide array of unit types, from melee fighters to magic-wielders, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Positioning and terrain play crucial roles in determining the outcome of battles, encouraging players to think strategically. The combat system is both easy to pick up and difficult to master, with deeper layers of complexity revealing themselves as you progress.

One notable mechanic of this game is the "Moral Compass" system. Additionally, Damikira offers customizable unit progression. Characters can be tailored to your playstyle, with skill trees and class upgrades providing flexibility in how you build your army. This allows for replayability, as different character builds can lead to varied experiences in battle. However, the game doesn’t offer a character development feature. It’s not ideal for players seeking purely character-driven gameplay.

A frenzied arcade shooter game

If you’re into action-platforming games, Damikira is a must-try game. This game provides a rich lore with a wide variety of unit types that you can choose from. You can be a melee fighter or a magic wielder, wherein each unit has its strengths and weaknesses. In this game, it’s important to think strategically as you fight off enemies and progress the game’s levels.
